ABOUT US
Corporate Eyes specialise in providing on-site eyecare for employees. We have extensive experience working in large, fast paced offices where time and convenience are paramount. We provide a full eye examination in accordance to the General Optical Council regulations, and have a large selection of competitively priced glasses for employees to choose from.
We also provide a more streamlined Vision Screening service if you do not wish to provide, or have enough space to provide eye examinations on-site. On-site Vision Screening can provide a useful safety net to detect those whose vision may be inadequate to safely and efficiently perform a specific task. We can then identify employees that require eye examinations and advise appropriately.

Introducing on-site eyecare as an employee benefit is a great way to increase productivity, promote the importance of eye and general healthcare, as well as showing how much you as a company, value your employees.

We want you to be able to add us to your employee benefits scheme with ease. Therefore, if you already have a voucher system in place then we would be happy to accept the vouchers, in the same way a high street Optician does.
If you have an existing contract with a particular Optician, then we can also work independently and set up on-site annually, bi-annually or at a frequency of your choosing. This way your employees have the option of continuing with your current system, or choosing to have their eyes tested while we are on-site.

All we require from you in the office is a room which is 3 metres by 3 metres minimum in size for us to carry out the eye tests, and a small area to display glasses. Employees can book appointments with us directly online and order glasses any time we are on-site. We will then return after a few weeks to personally deliver and fit the purchased glasses. We take care of all queries, bookings, payments and advertising, making the implementation of on- site eye care simple!
HOW IT
WORKS
1. INITIAL MEETING
It is a legal requirement for employers to pay for employee eye tests and to contribute towards their glasses if they are needed for VDU (Visual Display Unit) use at work. At our initial meeting we will discuss how much you as an employer want to contribute towards VDU glasses and whether you are already on a scheme, as we are happy to accept Edenred Vouchers to cover the eye test fee. We will also go through employee numbers, available dates and where to set up
2. MAIL SHOT NEWSLETTER
We will send you a company newsletter which you can email to all employees explaining how our services work. This newsletter will also contain a link to our appointment booking website
5. ON-SITE
Our fully qualified Optometrists and Dispensers will examine and provide glasses in accordance to the General Optical Council regulations. Employees with prescriptions from other Opticians are also welcome to browse or purchase glasses from us
3. APPOINTMENT BOOKING
Employees can follow the link to the booking website and choose a time that is suitable. We will send out appointment reminders and employees can also attach the appointment as an event on their calendar.
6. DELIVERY
We will return to deliver purchased glasses two to three weeks after the initial eye tests, and carry out any required fitting adjustments
4. SETTING UP
We will come in on the evening before our start date to set up our equipment and glasses in the rooms allocated to us

DEFINITION: Digital eye strain is defined as the physical discomfort felt after two or more hours within close or mid-range distance of a digital device such as a desktop or laptop computer, tablet, e-reader or cell phone.

Make sure your screen is at least a good arms length away, the closer it is the harder your eyes have to work. Position the top of your screen level with your eyes.
